From Concept to Craft: Mortal Existence Moves Toward Kickstarter

Every realm begins somewhere.

For Mortal Existence, that journey now moves from imagination, design, and development into something players can physically hold in their hands. After years of worldbuilding, game design, artwork, writing, and refinement, the Mortal Realms are taking another major step toward the table.

As we prepare for the upcoming Mortal Existence RPG Kickstarter campaign, we wanted to share a behind-the-scenes glimpse inside The YGS Group manufacturing facility (see the image gallery below), where the physical pieces of the game begin their journey from files and production specs into printed reality.

This is where concept becomes craft.

During the facility tour, we saw the kind of machinery, materials, preparation, and production process involved in bringing a tabletop project like Mortal Existence to life. These photos offer an early look at the world behind the world: the presses, equipment, production spaces, and hands-on process that help transform years of creative work into the books, materials, and game components players will eventually place on the table.

For longtime tabletop players, there’s something powerful about this stage. A game lives first in the imagination. It starts as maps, rules, lore, characters, artwork, adventures, and endless creative decisions. But eventually, it crosses a sacred threshold. It becomes an artifact. It becomes the thing opened before the first choice gets made, the first danger appears, and the first story begins.

That is where Mortal Existence stands now.

The upcoming Kickstarter campaign will help bring the Mortal Realms into physical form and move the project into the next stage of production. We’ll be sharing more details soon, including campaign information, reward tiers, game materials, soundtrack updates, and more behind-the-scenes looks at the road ahead.

The Realms are taking shape.

Stay connected, follow the journey, and get ready.
